Sonowapp device is communication part which is upgrading passive surveillance systems to active systems. Extending of camera system by wireles voice transmission is cheap and effective increase of system value.
Camera operator have ability to immediately react to situation on camera and interact with watched persons. Main target area of this technology is criminal prevention but also emergency situation, disaster coordination and other situations where public services can get advantage with this technology.
Device is consisted from transmission part (PBX-control panel, transmitter, antenna) on one side and receiver part with outdoor speakers near camera unit on other side. Broadcast PBX allows to control up to 256 receivers separately or to create groups with any number of receivers which can be then controlled all at one time.
Transmission range depends on terrain complexity but generally in live scenarios it is between 5 - 10km from transmitter. To cover larger area is possible to install repeaters and transposers.
It is also possible to install this system to already running camera systems.
City Police in city Slany is using Sonowapp technology with surveillance system since 2003.
